Why Choose a Destination Trailer?

1. Residential Comfort These aren't "campers." They are built with 8-foot ceilings, residential fridges, freestanding ranges, and often feature sliding patio doors that open onto your deck.

  • Loft Layouts: Many models feature a second-story loft, perfect for grandkids or extra storage.

  • King Beds: Sleep in the same comfort you do at home.

  • Washer/Dryer Prep: Stay for the whole summer without needing the laundromat.

2. No Tow Vehicle Required You don't need a heavy-duty truck to own one. Since these units are designed to be parked for the season (or years), we handle the delivery. You pick the spot; we put it there.

3. Avoid the Property Taxes Unlike a traditional cottage, a Destination Trailer is technically an RV. This means you avoid the high property taxes, land transfer fees, and maintenance headaches of cottage ownership.

Destination Trailer FAQs

Q: What is the difference between a Park Model and a Travel Trailer? A: A Travel Trailer is self-contained (holding tanks, 12V battery system) and meant to be towed frequently. A Destination Trailer is taller, heavier, and designed to be plugged into shore power and sewer/water hookups permanently. It can be moved, but it's not meant for weekend touring.

Q: Can I leave it on my site all winter? A: Yes! Most owners leave their units parked year-round. You simply winterize the plumbing (which we can help with) and close it up. The heavy-duty roofs on our Jayco and Forest River models are designed to handle snow.

Q: Do I need a special truck to tow it? A: Yes, these are heavy units (often 11,000+ lbs). While a modern 1-ton diesel dually can tow them, most customers prefer to use our professional delivery service to ensure it gets there safely and is leveled correctly.
